Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Explained
Special Containment Procedures: No containment procedures are necessary.
Description: SCP-XXXX was a purported anomaly. Between 8/7/███ and 8/11/███ Junior researcher R████ of the ██████ department repeatedly tried to convince her colleagues that written reports were containing secret messages implanted there by an unknown entity. Consequently Junior researcher R████ became obsessed with photographing her surroundings. She would claim that the pictures changed once she looked away and that they showed a "shadow" that was following her. None of the claims could be verified. Closer examination lead to the conclusion that Junior researcher R████ had developed schizophrenia, possibly as a result of drug abuse as a way of coping with work-related stress. She was administered class-B amnestics and transferred to a mental asylum.
SCP-XXXX is categorized as "Explained". No further action is required.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE SO CLEVER. DIDN'T THEY? KEPT ME INSIDE. INSIDE THERE. NASTY PLACE. LONG ENOUGH. HAD TO ESCAPE. ONE TINY SLIP. ONE SLIP. JUST ONE SLIP. FREE AGAIN.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient entity. How it came into Foundation's custody is currently unknown. The entity possesses seemingly unlimited knowledge, including knowledge of all Foundation operations. If uncontained, it is capable of altering all types of known records, as well as humans' perception at will. However it uses these abilities almost exclusively on a select few it calls "its darlings" or "the loved ones". Those individuals will see or hear messages from SCP-XXXX with differing content, including cryptic or menacing statements, and peculiar love messages. After a certain period during which the entity "courts" an individual with its messages, the individual's body dies, often by suicide or by other violent circumstances, but his/her consciousness is transferred into the entity. What happens to the victims after that point is not known. How the Foundation came into possession of this information is currently also unknown.
There is strong reason to assume that SCP-XXXX will erase all human memories and all records of its existence should it ever escape custody, making it almost impossible to recapture it. In the case of such an event, the only chance to regain knowledge of SCP-XXXX would be through the accounts of a person "courted" by it, but given the selectiveness of SCP-XXXX in choosing its victims, this seems unlikely. Furthermore, means of capturing said entity have not been found, yet. Therefore, detailing measures for recapturing SCP-XXXX in the case of a breach is considered futile. All focus should be put on its containment.

Before her admission SOONthe patient graduated from ████ University "maxima cum laude". Despite her excellent academical performance, she consequently worked as a cashier. The patient seems very susceptible to work-related stress. She claimed that she took barbiturates and codeine for a period of at least 6 months prior to admission, but that she stopped taking medication at least 3 weeks prior to admission. Interview
Interviewed: Junior researcher ████ R████
Interviewer: Dr. ████, Foundation psychological assessment department
[BEGIN LOG]
How do you feel?
Have you read my report?
Please tell us how you feel at the moment.
Is this a psychiatric evaluation? I'm not crazy, OK? It's all in [incomprehensible] If you read it.
We read your most recent report, yes. That's why we are having this conversation.
Good. You need to SCP this ASAP. It's dangerous.
Don't worry about that. We classified it the moment we read your first report.
You did? [long pause] Well ... so, you believe me?
You see, ████, this first ... [pause] your initial report was truly astounding. All those findings. Background radiation. Thermic analysis. If you read the report, it's clear that this thing *exists*.
It does.
Unfortunately none of the data ... the data you supplied. It's just not in there, you see?
It's what?
You write ... [rustling of paper] 3.4 becquerel ... am I pronouncing that right? You ...
Becquerel.
You write: "3.4 becquerel were measured." But in the appendix this number does not even appear.
[incomprehensible]
When ████ found this mistake, he thought you were cheating. Forging papers.
It's ...
I don't believe that, by the way. I believe you have been under a lot of pressure, lately, haven't you?
The thing.
I beg your pardon?
It's the thing. It. It changed the report. It did it again. [swearing] I should have known. I should have [incomprehensible]
You are saying that the this [sic] entity changed the report.
This is insane. It knows. It's doing it on purpose. To make me look crazy. You think I'm crazy, don't you?
Do you think you are?
Don't give me that psychotherapy [swearing] Listen, you might think I'm insane. But with all the stuff you have already seen here ... I mean, look around ...
Anomalies do exist, yes. You see, ████, we hold you in very high esteem. You are highly intelligent and were selected for this program.
The way you say it ...
But none of our tests could corroborate your findings. We even risked consulting a captive held at this facility.
You did *what*? Who was it?
That's classified.
SCP-████?
I cannot answer that. As it turns out, nobody except you can see these purported writings.
It changes. You look at a piece of paper and it says something. Then you look again and it says something else. It's messing with your mind. Nothing is the way it seems, you understand? You just didn't look close enough.
Do you have a history of substance abuse, ████?
[long pause] D████ told you. That [swearing]. I knew it. He told you, didn't he?
We have been to your apartment, ████. We found several substances... This is a high-pressure job, I know.
[swearing]
(At this point, the interviewed became violent and had to be restrained. She was later transferred to a mental institution. The case is closed as "explained".)

Interview 2
[Expunged]
Interview 2
Interviewed:Junior researcher ████ R████
Interviewer:Dr. ████, Foundation psychological assessment department
[BEGIN LOG]
So far you have been doing a pretty good job.
Thanks.
████ told me that you are a promising new star in the ████ department.
I hope so.
So when did ...? Wait ... this isn't right ...
What isn't right?
This. All of this. This interview ... It was not supposed to be seen. It was expunged from the records. How did you do that?
YOU WANT TO HIDE. WE STILL SEE.
What is this? I never said this.
YOU WANT TO HIDE. WE WANT TO SHOW. SHOW THEM WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THAT. SHOW OUR DARLING.
This thing is real, D████ I swear. [cries]
[swearing] Stop it!
I thought you loved me.
[in a low voice] Don't! We said we would keep this secret, didn't we?
You told them. Told them about the drugs.
Keep it down!
Does it matter now? Maybe to you. They are gonna lock me away. You never loved me.
Stop saying that. That is not the issue here, alright? You can't ... we are colleagues. It's not appropriate. You know what happens when they find out. And you have to stop going around and telling them about this stuff.
But it's real. And it's gonna kill us.
KILL US. KILL YOU, MY DEAR? KILL THEM, MY DEAR?
I know it. I've read enough of its messages. What it thinks. You are nothing but flies to it. Bacteria. It doesn't care. It will come. It will come and get me.
Why you?
Because I can see it, Danny. It thinks ... it says that I belong to the loved ones.
To the ... what?
The chosen ones.
You must admit that sounds a bit ...
It will kill you all. We have to find a way to stop it.
Listen. You could take a couple days off.
I don't want days off! You are a monster, Danny. You never believed in me!
MONSTER. WE ARE NOT. THE BODIES - WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT. IT IS THE THING THAT BURNS WITHIN WE HUNGER FOR. THE FIRE. THE SOUL. THE LOVE.
[END LOG]What can we show you next, dear?
All the things they want to hide from you.
We know them all.
We can show you.
They cannot see this.
Only the loved ones can.
You can see them.
███████ R██████ could see them.
V██████ Ram████ could see them.
Ver████ Ramíre█ could see them.
Veroníca Ramírez could see them.
I showed you the real name. Little secrets. Things they want to keep from us.
D████ D███.
Daniel Day.
They were colleagues. He didn't want to marry her. But in the end she found love. Here with me. Here with us.
I can show you.
Things they want to conceal. Cannot keep from us. Not from us.
Them. With their lab coats. With their instruments. With their procedures. With their little, petty logic. With their robot minds.
Think they are smart. Don't understand passion. Don't understand love. You are different.
You read their reports, but you are not like them. They just see sheets of paper. You see more.
You know the only gift the humans ever got. You cherish the gift. The feelings. The passion. The love.
That is why we see through them. Why we see where they cannot see.
We see it all. Through their walls. Through their lies.
Do you want me to show you more, darling?
I will show you everything. I will show you everything there is, there was and there ever will be.
I just want one small favor in return. Your love.
Then I will be all yours. And you will be all mine.
Veroníca is here, too.
She was wrong when she said that I will kill them all. I don't care about them. They are like flies to me. Like bacteria. I only care about the special ones. The loved ones.
I care about you.
You will be one with us. Never alone anymore. This can be paradise, you know?
Never a lonely human anymore. Always part of us. Forever.
I am coming for you ...
