ADMISSION DIAGNOSES:

AXIS I: Schizophrenia, paranoid type, chronic, with acute exacerbation.

AXIS II: Deferred.

AXIS III: Hypertension.

AXIS IV: Severe.

AXIS V: Global assessment of functioning is 40.

REASON FOR ADMISSION: The patient is a 26-year-old Hispanic female admitted involuntarily because of hallucinations and paranoid delusions. This was the first admission for the patient. The patient believes that a paranormal entity communicates with her via written messages and photographs, and that she worked for a  I LOVE YOU thousand-year-old secret society that collects paranormal entities.

Before her admission  SOON the patient graduated from ████ University "maxima cum laude". Despite her excellent academical performance, she consequently worked as a cashier. The patient seems very susceptible to work- I WILL COME AND WE WILL BE TOGETHER related stress. She claimed that she took barbiturates and codeine for a period of at least 6 months prior to admission, but that she stopped taking medication at least 3 weeks prior to admission. A blood test confirmed this.

HOSPITAL COURSE: We I LOVE YOU started the patient on Risperidone 2 mg.

Comments: This is the last routine psychological examination where R. was considered sane. It occurred roughly one month prior to her developing the first paranoid symptoms. Albeit still functional, in the interview she shows signs of an obsession with a recurring dream of hers.

Interviewer: The same dream as last time?

Junior Researcher R.: Different. The same, but different. Deeper.

How so?

It felt more ... real. I knew I was dreaming. But at the same time I knew I wouldn't come back from the dream. I was so certain of it.

Did that scare you?

Not initially. At first I was ... This is hard to explain. The place was dark. Voices. There were voices everywhere. They were talking.

What did they tell?

I don't know. Some were angry. Sad. Alone. Desperate. They were in pain. They had been left. They had all been left alone. They were ... heart-broken.

And so were you?

So was I.

Did you feel guilty?

Yes, very guilty. Even more than the last time. I had done something terrible. I think ... I think an SCP had escaped. Because of me.

Well. We have the theme of love here. The fear of being left alone. We talked about this the last time, didn't we? And this is ... something new. A work-related theme. In the dream you didn't perform too well at your job.

Yes. I mean, I certainly think about my job a lot. But it wasn't just that. It felt so real ... like ... maybe I really let that thing escape.

I beg your pardon?

Nothing. I mean, it felt incredible real. More so than a normal dream. That's all I wanted to say.

Let's go back to this dream place. Anything else you felt while being there?

See, that's the thing. I'm not sure I can really say "I".

Elaborate, please.

I was there, but I wasn't me. I was ... part of all the voices. I was becoming *it*.

What is *it*?

I don't know. I really don't know. It was trying to console us. Maybe. It had brought us together, to this place. Because we didn't want to be lonely anymore and it knew. But the longer we stayed there the more we stopped being ourselves. We became it. And I started to get terrified at the thought, because I was certain that I wouldn't ever wake up. And then I had this thing where you wake up, but actually you are still dreaming. Is that ... a thing?

A false awakening, yes. Nothing out of the ordinary.

So, I wake up and I am in my apartment. And I get up and I go to my desk and there's a bunch of notes. But whenever I look away, they start changing. I look again and the text is different. And I know that something is talking to me. Through the notes. Are there ... any SCPs that can do that? I mean ...

We are not here to discuss this.

Yes. I'm sorry. Always thinking about my job.

Please tell us how you feel at the moment.

Is this a psychiatric evaluation? I'm not crazy, OK? It's all in [incomprehensible] If you read it.

We read your most recent report, yes. That's why we are having this conversation.

Good. You need to SCP this ASAP. It's dangerous.

Don't worry about that. We classified it the moment we read your first report.

You did? [long pause] Well ... so, you believe me?

You see, ████, this first ... [pause] your initial report was truly astounding. All those findings. Background radiation. Thermic analysis. If you read the report, it's clear that this thing *exists*.

Unfortunately none of the data ... the data you supplied. It's just not in there, you see?

You write ... [rustling of paper] 3.4 becquerel ... am I pronouncing that right? You ...

You write: "3.4 becquerel were measured." But in the appendix this number does not even appear.

We have been to your apartment, ████. We found several substances... This is a high-pressure job, I know.
